If this is your 1st foray into the internet world you may want to start with AOL. They are the largest ISP and easy to use. If your interest is in chat rooms and meeting people, this is the one to start with.
AOL has experience “growing pains”[read- oversold the product] so you may experience some delays in getting ‘on-line’, but it is still a good place to start.
Two other good options are Earthlink & AT&T WorldNet. Both have free, easy to install software, free home pages , e-mail and dialups in most communities in the US. Earthlink charges $19.95 for unlimited access & a $25.00 setup fee. AT&T offers the same basic rates to there long distance customers. All others pay $24.95
Flash.net offers an unlimited dialup package for $99.00 a year.
